The Blue Water Bridge international
border crossing is a key link between the world's two greatest trading
partners. The bridge is centrally located on the eastern border area
between Point Edward/Sarnia, Ontario and Port Huron, Michigan. The Blue
Water Bridge is strategically placed on the major trade and transportation
corridors linking two major U.S. Interstates, I-69 and I-94 with a major
Canadian 400 Series Highway, 402. Highway 402 then merges into Highway 401
at London, Ontario. Highway 401 is the major artery, which runs east and
west from Ontario to the Atlantic Provinces. The Canadian 400 Series
Highways (402 and 401) are two of the busiest highways in Canada.
As you cross the Blue Water Bridge, you will get your first glimpse of Canada.

As you approach into Canada, the bridge has a slight curve to the right. Below is an
overview of the entire layout.
Once into
Canada, commercial traffic bears to the right for inspection.
Non-commercial traffic bears to the left for inspection. On the extreme left side
of the roadway, traffic is entering the tollbooth before crossing the
bridge to enter the U.S.A..
